As of the 2012-13 school year, there have been changes to the nutritional requirements of our student's foods. These include changes to portion sizes and minimum/maximum meal calories. All changes are highlighted in the following letter to parents:

2012-13 Meal Costs
School Breakfast — $1.25
Elementary School Lunch — $2.10
Middle/High School Lunch — $2.20
Prepaid Meal Plans
Make checks payable to “BKW Meal Programs” and be sure to include the student’s name. Any number of prepaid meals may be purchased at one time:
Pre-K-12th grade Prepaid Breakfast is $1.25 per day.
Pre-k–6th grade Prepaid Lunch is $2.10 per day or $191.10 for ½ year.
7th – 12th grade Prepaid Lunch is $2.20 per day or $200.20 for ½ year.
Special Activities
Parents, guardians and family members are invited to eat breakfast or lunch with students. The adult lunch price is $3.24, plus tax totaling $3.50. Breakfast foods are charged a la carte.
Classroom celebrations
The BKW Food Service
Department sometimes provides healthy food alternatives for celebrations
held in class. We offer Birthday Baskets, which are only offered for
pre-k through fifth grade students. Order forms will be sent home each
month for students celebrating in that month.
