The BKW PTA invites new students and their families to its “Welcome to BKW!” event for all new students entering Pre-K thru 6th grade in September. Please plan to come to the elementary school cafeteria on Monday, Aug. 29, any time between 5 and 7 p.m. to learn more about our school community. ..

Save the date: Alumni Association Dinner and Dance on October 1
The BKW Alumni Association will be hosting its 82nd Alumni Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Western Turnpike Country Club in Guilderland. Changes to STAR tax-relief program
New STAR applicants will receive a rebate check instead of a tax credit
Anyone who purchased and is paying school taxes on a home for the first time in 2016-17 will receive their STAR savings as a rebate check. There is also a provision that allows existing homeowners to choose either the STAR exemption or the new income tax credit. ..

New scoreboard a team effort
Winning is a team effort. So too, apparently, is getting a new
scoreboard to keep track of those wins. The new scoreboard at the BKW
baseball field cost approximately $6,500, and was paid for, in large
part, by the BKW Sportsboosters’ many fundraising efforts.
