Upcoming vacancies on the Board of Education

Lockdown drill successfully conducted at BKW schools

Reminder: Early dismissal for elementary, full day of school for secondary students on Friday, Nov. 20
On Friday, Nov. 20, there will be early dismissal for elementary students due to parent/teacher conferences. Students in the secondary school will have a full day of instruction.

PTA sponsoring book fair through Nov. 20
The BKW PTA is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair in the High School
Library through Friday, Nov. 20, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
Each class in the Elementary School will have a day to go over to browse the books and make "wish lists." These will go home for parents to look over. Cash, checks (made out to BKW PTA) and credit cards (with the parent present) will be accepted. Please remember to add 8 percent tax to the whole order. This is a great educational way to support your children in their reading endeavors as well as our school! District no longer able to accept recycling from the community
The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District can no longer accept paper for recycling from the community.The company that was recycling paper for the district has gone out of business and has removed their dumpsters from our property. The dumpsters located on the schools property are for the schools trash only. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

WGNA’s Rhymin' Richie Phillips visited third graders in Mr. Dergositis’ class on Wednesday, Oct. 7, to record a song about bullying and how our words can hurt or heal.
